Serge Duchesne

Serge is a native of Verdun. At 18, he began practicing the accordion. He studied with Marcel Proulx, Frank Mella and Dino Leone, the latter being the most influential. Dino Leone, accordionist, pianist, keyboardist, arranger, professional musician, very forward thinking in teaching techniques, introduces Serge to the electronic accordion, the midi accordion, and the keyboard.

Marie-Perle Cartier

Marie-Perle is a native of Yamaska. Following a weekend spent at the Carrefour Mondial de l'Accordéon in Montmagny, she falls in love with the sound of this instrument and goes in search of a teacher. Not finding in Sorel, Boucherville she will attend classes with Serge Duchesne. Trained medical technologist Marie-Perle, now retired, shares her days with her grandson, organizing trips and activities for her friends at Club Miata, volunteering for the Hôtel-Dieu Foundation in Sorel and Canadian Cancer Society and of course the practice of accordion.

Robert Viens

A native of Montreal, from age 11 to 13, Robert takes accordion lessons at the Royal Conservatory of Music. He is 20 years old without touching the accordion. In 1976, a remarkable meeting with Christian Di Maccio, made him rediscover his love for the accordion. He took classes for 2 years and then continued to play by ear. In 1992, he met Serge Duchesne and he became a friend and occasionally a teacher. He is now attending school on a regular basis. Robert mechanic retired from the National Defense makes accordion its main activity.

Diane Jean

Born in Montreal, Diane began her accordion lessons with a classical training at the age of nine. She studied 7 years at the Professional Accordion Institute with the late Marcel Proulx and was part of his orchestra for a few years. She also studied with Saturno Gentiletti for 4 years and learned harmony with Frank Mella. She gets married and leaves for Mexico. Back in Quebec, she finds her love of youth, the accordion, to no longer separate. Diane is a qualified electrologist.
